Key Responsibilities
As a Drywall Finisher, your expertise will be vital in ensuring high-quality finishes. Your tasks will include:
- Applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints.
- Cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids.
- Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
- Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets.
- Positioning and securing sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Smoothing out excess compound and allowing coats to dry.
- Taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound.
