Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions using navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Demonstrate mountain driving expertise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform thorough inspections of tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the truck.
  • Receive and relay information effectively to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
