Key Responsibilities
- Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions using navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Demonstrate mountain driving expertise.
- Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform thorough inspections of tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the truck.
- Receive and relay information effectively to central dispatch.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
Qualifications
