Kawartha Lakes Artistic Coordinator
Title: Artistic CoordinatorAccountable to: Kawartha Lakes Satellite DirectorHours Employed: Part time or Full Time
OVERVIEW OF POSITIONThe Kawartha Lakes Artistic Coordinator will provide leadership to arts creativity within the satellite, by focusing on development and involvement with programs supporting the Arts within the satellite's operations. This position will work closely with the Satellite Director and Associate Director to ensure a well rounded development of our ministry to youth in the Kawartha Lakes beyond sports programs.
This position reports to the Kawartha Lakes Satellite Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ● Responsible for supporting the Satellite Director and Associate Director in Arts related plans and development● Support and help manage the newly launched Music Unlimited Program as well as other Satellite Arts related programming● Help plan and add Arts support to fundraisers, satellite events and other satellite activities● Use skills in Graphic Design to help create promotional materials for the satellite
STAFF / VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS● Work as a team player alongside staff, volunteers and community members.● Contribute to a safe environment for staff members and volunteers to express ideas relating to Arts Programming.
ORGANIZATIONAL / ADMINISTRATIVE EXPECTATIONS● Submit bi-monthly Ministry Reports to the Satellite Director.● Provide input regarding the ‘arts’ to the Satellite Director in the development of the annual satellite budget.● Work closely with the Associate Director on budgeted Arts program expenses and submit reports as required.
COMMUNICATION EXPECTATIONS● Project a visible and positive image of KYFC/YU in the community.● Assist in the development, upkeep and management of the Kawartha Lakes website, social media accounts and Mailchimp communications.
FUNDRAISING EXPECTATIONS● To work with Satellite Director and Associate Director on raising Financial Ministry Support and Partnership, as a Missionary of Youth For Christ.● Participate in all of the major fundraising events of the Satellite● Give support to program and event related fundraising activities.
SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT● Pursue an active, growing relationship with God.● Establish relationships for accountability and mentoring.● Participate in training opportunities as approved by the Executive Director.● Agree to our Statement of Faith and follow YFC Canada Community Covenant.
MEETINGS● Meet with the Supervisor once a month.● Meet with Satellite once a month.● Participate in Kawartha Connect meetings as directed by Satellite Director
