Kichton Construction LP is looking for full-time Grader Operators to join our team in Fort McMurray working at Fort Hills for Suncor.
Compensation and Benefits are important, and we offer lots

Where You’ll Be Working
  • Site: Fort Hills
  • Schedule: 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off.
  • Camp accommodation is provided with your own room and bathroom
  • Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary.
  • Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after rotation).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operate 14 and 16 size Graders in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environment
  • Complete pre-use equipment inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
  • Participate in the safe fueling and servicing of equipment
  • Interact with loading and dumping equipment
  • Follow mine driving rules
  • Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards, and procedures
  • Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including all required PPE
  • Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
  • Report any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors
  • Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately

Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred
  • Familiar and comfortable working in a production environment
  • Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation
  • A safety-first attitude
  • Attentive and possess strong listening skills
  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
