Coordinator (2-Year Contract)The Home Performance Stakeholder Council (HPSC) is a BC-based not-for-profit that supports the growth of the home performance industry by advancing market growth, capacity building, and quality workmanship. We work with contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, associations, utilities, and other partners to help grow a stronger whole-home retrofit market across British Columbia.
We are looking for an organized, relationship-focused Coordinator who will play a key operational role in supporting contractor engagement & success within the Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN). This is a hands-on role for someone who excels at managing process coordination, providing responsive service, and maintaining accurate records to ensure contractors remain informed, compliant, and active throughout their participation in the network.
What you will do
  • Administer the full contractor lifecycle, including application intake, enrollment, onboarding, membership maintenance, renewals, and offboarding activities; ensuring all documentation is submitted correctly and meets participation requirements.
  • Verify and maintain contractor credentials, including business licenses, insurance, certifications, training requirements, and other documentation required for network participation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, responding to inquiries, providing information on opportunities & resources, and resolving issues in a timely, professional & customer-centered manner.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or issues within contractor submissions and guide applicants toward appropriate resolution.
  • Maintain accurate contractor records within CRM system ensuring data integrity, documentation completeness, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams; including quality assurance, communications, operations, and stakeholder engagement to support contractor success and network objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the contractor experience and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in administration or related subject. Relevant experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience in program coordination, membership administration, customer service, stakeholder relations, and/or a related administrative role.
  • Experience administering membership registration, onboarding, compliance, and/or credential verification processes.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to support a diverse contractor base, and manage challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience maintaining records and generating reports using CRM, database, or program management systems.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain requirements clearly and professionally to contractors.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, showing accountability, reliability, and the sound judgment to collaborate with supervisors when escalation is required.

Preferred assets
  • Experience working in the energy efficiency sector; home performance, construction, and/ or trades industry.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector; working with associations, boards, and/or member-based organizations.

Working conditions and compensation This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and a 2-year term with the possibility of extension. Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PST, with flexibility in scheduling based on operational needs. This is a fully remote role open to individuals legally permitted to work in Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own office space. A laptop and necessary work equipment will be provided. Occasional travel may be required. A satisfactory criminal record check, relevant to the duties of the position, will be required as a condition of employment.
Compensation: The hiring salary for this position is CA$60,000–$65,000, depending on experience and sector fit, plus 100% employer-paid benefits. The position starts with 3 weeks of vacation, increasing to 4 weeks in the second year. Staff receive additional time off during the HPSC's office closure between Christmas and New Year's.
