Palitronica - 6 Jobs
Waterloo, ON
Job Details:
As we scale our commercial operations, we are seeking a highly organized, data-driven Go-to-Market (GTM) Operations Manager to support marketing and sales execution, optimize systems and processes, and provide the operational insights that drive growth.
Position SummaryThis Senior Product Manager will own the roadmap for evolving our products to serve customers in both our Supply Chain and Manufacturing lines of business. Palitronica’s Anvil Checkpoint has been evolving quickly, but there is still significant work to shape what our product will be and how to turn new solutions into products. Our solutions have hardware, software, and cloud components that need to evolve, with a roadmap that enables repeatable, reliable, scalable, and predictable solutions for our customers.
We believe in product development grounded in efficient customer discovery and collaborative solutioning. Your job is to ensure that the product investments we make deliver continuous customer value, aligned with both product strategy and business goals.
This position is based in our Waterloo office. Some travel will be required to visit customers and attend industry trade shows. You’ll collaborate with engineering, pre-sales, and go-to-market teams, as well as our customers globally.
A background in electronics manufacturing or the electronics supply chain is an asset but not necessary.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build an understanding of how our customers work and what they need from Palitronica’s product set
- Make decisions about what’s worth building, what isn’t or can wait, and what to stop
- Run ongoing customer discovery to identify the right problems, validate assumptions and learn what is working or needs attention
- Shape product strategy
- Partner with Engineering, Sales and leadership to shape roadmaps that balance near-term customer wins with long-term requirements
- Partner with sales, customer success, operations and marketing to bring solutions to market
- Look for new use cases, segments or product lines – and make the case for pursuing them.
- Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to build connections with end users, stakeholders, and partners.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Product Management with a core background in one or more of hardware, software, or cloud. Ideally at a small or scaling organization
- Demonstrated experience in shipping complex products to customers along with the skills required to determine and execute changes based on lessons learned.
- Able to learn technical details quickly, understand constraints, ask good questions, and build credibility with technical, customer-facing teams and customers alike.
- Commercial awareness. You think about how product decisions affect revenue, margin and growth, not just user experience.
Travel Requirements
- This position requires the ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
- Travel may include customer meetings, training sessions, technical workshops, trade shows, exhibitions, and other industry events where Palitronica is represented.
Export Control, Controlled Goods & Security Eligibility
- This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access, including eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, and must be able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
Key Success MetricsThe individual will be expected to:
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical people. You can talk to engineers about implementation tradeoffs and to executives about strategy without losing either audience.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo when it needs challenging.
- Getting stuff done. Comfortable making decisions without all the data, but able to pivot when the real-world experience requires it.
- Help convert customer requirements into the product roadmap.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Represent Palitronica professionally in customer-facing and industry-facing settings.
- Operate with sound judgment, professionalism, and urgency in a dynamic business environment.
