The Opportunity
Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring for a Laboratory Technician to perform testing on concrete and other construction materials at their Burnaby branch office.

What you will be doing:

• Organizing and demolding cubes and cube molds
• Trimming samples
• Capping Cores
• Preparing Air void Test samples (polishing)
• Low strength compressive tests
• Back-up dispatch and data entry duties
• Other duties as required

What you need to have:

• Previous experience in a materials testing lab is an asset
• Great attitude and willingness to learn
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift and control weights up to 50lb
