We craft sandwiches and other menu items per order, alongside excellent coffee, in one of the busiest corners of East Hastings. If you love the rush of a packed café, the smell of fresh bake in the morning, and running a tight ship with people you actually like, this is your spot.Fast-paced. Lots of moving parts. You'll bounce between bar, kitchen, and floor, sometimes all in the same hour. We need someone who thrives in that pace and leads by example when it gets busy, because that's our mantra here. Bring your best, and we'll back you every step of the way.The Role

• Full-time, permanent: 5 shifts per week
• Must be available weekends
• Comfortable making food (sandwiches crafted to order, kitchen prep, and more)

Daily Operations

• Prepare and serve our full food menu (made-to-order sandwiches and more), barista service, baking, dishes
• Lead the floor and guide the team when the manager isn't present
• Keep standards high on food, coffee, and cleanliness during peak times
• Build real relationships with our regulars
• Handle customer concerns calmly and respectfully

Requirements

• Previous coffee experience
• Previous kitchen/food prep experience
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset
• Serving It Right required
• FoodSafe required
• Base wage $20/hr + hourly tips
