We are looking for a Business Intelligence Database Administrator to help drive data-informed decision-making across our growing organization. In this role, you will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to develop reporting solutions, analyze data, and maintain business intelligence systems that support operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of business needs and enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that create value across the organization.
What does the BI Database Administrator do?As a Business Intelligence Database Administrator, you will transform data into meaningful insights that support operational performance and strategic decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will develop reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators that help leaders make informed business decisions. You will also support the administration and optimization of BI-owned Azure SQL databases, ensuring data quality, reliability, security, and performance. Through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, you will help drive a data-driven culture across the organization.

Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.· Equivalent combinations of education and directly related experience may be considered.· Minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, database administration, reporting development, or a related analytical role.· Demonstrated experience writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data manipulation scripts.· Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions.· Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Python, or comparable business intelligence platforms.· Experience working with data modelling concepts including dimensional modelling, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), and data dictionaries.· Experience supporting operational reporting, performance measurement, and business analytics initiatives.· Experience working with Azure SQL databases or similar cloud-based database platforms.· Experience performing database administration functions such as security management, access control, performance monitoring, and backup oversight is considered an asset.· Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts is considered an asset.· Insurance brokerage, financial services, or regulated industry experience is preferred.
