About the RoleThe Philantrophy Coordinator – Donor Engagement & Stewardship plays a key role in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with donors and supporters. This position is focused on enhancing donor experience through engagement, stewardship initiatives, and relationship-based communications that strengthen long-term commitment to the organization’s mission.
This is a relationship-centered role that collaborates closely with internal teams while maintaining a clear distinction from donation processing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners
- Lead donor stewardship activities, recognition, and engagement strategies
- Coordinate donor communications, including impact updates and campaign messaging
- Support engagement-driven fundraising campaigns and events (e.g., Giving Tuesday)
- Manage donor engagement tracking and reporting through CRM systems
- Prepare briefing materials and support leadership in donor engagement activities
- Monitor donor trends, engagement metrics, and retention strategies
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or community engagement
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM systems (preferred)
- Highly organized with strong project management abilities
- Ability to work in a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and Indigenous-led environment
- Understanding of the impacts of colonialism and Residential Schools is an asset
Term: Full-Time Term PositionLocation: Can work out of one of the following offices - Vancouver, Kamloops, Prince George or ChilliwackSalary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 to start and will be dependent on skills and experiences.Benefits: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Cultural Days, Wellness Days, after 90 days - Employer paid benefits plan and GIA matched savings.Status: Minimum 40-60% in office requirement.Deadline: Until filled with a qualified and aligned candidate.
