Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead readiness planning activities across assigned projects to ensure all operational and maintenance requirements are identified, documented, and integrated into project deliverables
- Develop readiness plans, strategies, and schedules that align with client readiness frameworks and expectations
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance teams to validate readiness scope, priorities, and dependencies
- Conduct readiness assessments and gap analyses to identify missing processes, resources, or competencies
- Support development of commissioning and startup readiness packages, including procedures, checklists, and documentation
- Review project schedules to ensure readiness activities are properly sequenced and resourced
- Track readiness progress, risks, and issues; recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
- Facilitate readiness workshops, meetings, and cross-functional planning sessions
- Support the development of training plans, competency requirements, and role readiness for operations and maintenance personnel
- Ensure alignment between maintenance planning, asset management strategies, and operational readiness requirements
- Assist in preparing spare parts lists, materials requirements, and long lead procurement readiness
- Validate that maintenance and operational documentation meet client standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure systems, tools, and digital platforms (CMMS, ERP, etc.) are configured and ready for use
- Provide insights into resource readiness, staffing needs, and organizational impacts
- Support the development of risk registers, readiness dashboards, and progress reporting
- Travel to client sites as required to support readiness reviews, workshops, and field validation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Maintenance, Operations Management, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in project readiness, maintenance planning, operations planning, or related discipline
- Experience with:
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Project management and scheduling software
- Asset management and tracking systems
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms
- Strong understanding of operational readiness, commissioning, and startup processes
- Familiarity with readiness methodologies is considered an asset
- Experience in industrial, mining, energy, or heavy industry environments preferred
- Strong competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and engineering deliverables
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
