About the role:Dear Grain is seeking a Full-time Junior Baker - Laminator to join our pastry team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baking and eager to develop their skills in laminated pastry production. Working closely with our lead laminator and bakery team, you’ll assist in the preparation, mixing, and handling of croissant and laminated doughs while learning the techniques that define our craft.This is a hands on position in a fast paced environment where attention to detail, consistency, and teamwork are essential. The Junior Laminator will play a key supporting role in daily production, helping maintain quality standards and contributing to the smooth operation of our growing lamination program.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and mixing croissant and laminated doughs under the direction of the Lead Pastry Chef and Bakery Manager
- Support lamination by helping with butter prep, dough handling, and organizing product flow during production
- Scale, mix, and prepare basic pastry components such as fillings, batters, scones, cookies, and loaf cakes
- Portion and bake products according to established recipes and production needs
- Help maintain accurate inventory by labeling and organizing ingredients and finished products
- Keep workstation, tools, and shared spaces clean, organized, and in line with food safety standards
- Assist in tracking ingredient usage and communicate replenishment or supply needs promptly
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure efficiency, quality, and smooth daily operations
- Follow all quality control, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
- Support senior team members in daily prep, clean down, and production wrap-up tasks

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment
- Eager to learn about laminated doughs, fermentation, and artisanal pastry production
- Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
- Able to follow instructions and maintain consistency in production tasks
- Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and willingness to take feedback

- Monday to Friday (4 days a week)
- 7:00AM - 5:00PM
- $19.0 to $20.0 Per Hour
