Your role Each case is unique, and each client has different needs. Associate lawyers work with a team to develop the best possible strategy for each case. About You
- Licensed to practice law in British Columbia
- Minimum two-year call
- In-depth knowledge of the rules of civil procedure
- A pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, tenacity and a commitment to our clients’ best interests
- Effective organization and time-management skills
- Aptitude for using various software packages such as Microsoft Suite and other technological applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective at prioritizing tasks
- Positive and strong attitude
- You value being part of a team but can work efficiently independently, and in a remote set-up (if applicable)

- Conducting client intake meetings
- Communicating with clients
- Participating in claim team strategy meetings
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Attending examinations for discovery and chambers hearings
- Conducting legal research
- Executing legal strategy approved by the responsible lawyer
- Negotiating on behalf of clients
- Preparing for, and assisting in trial, and
- Reviewing bills and closing files.
