Job Purpose
The FOH Cashier/Customer Service interacts with restaurant customers to take orders and process payments at the Point-of-Sale system (POS). This role involves wowing guests with outstanding service and hospitality, especially when greeting customers and serving their orders.
Responsibilities
  • Greets every customer entering the premise with a warm smile and in a hospitable manner
  • Maintains strong knowledge of the restaurant’s menu including in-house promotions
  • Assists customers with menu selection and answers all questions in a respectful and patient manner to elevate customer experience and score on suggestive selling
  • Repeats customer orders for accuracy before entering them into the POS
  • Processes payments at the POS and handles all transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Delivers food from the kitchen line to the customer and thanks the customer for coming and encourages them to visit again
  • Answers incoming phone calls to process take-out orders or answer customer inquiries
  • Maintains a clean and organized restaurant-front
  • Busses and cleans tables in between customers to ensure a clean and sanitary dining environment
  • Performs other additional duties as assigned

  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written

Experience
  • Prior experience as a cashier and server an asset

Working Conditions
  • Rotating shifts scheduled around and during the restaurant’s hours of operation including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Fast-paced environment during peak hours

Physical Efforts
  • Must be able to stand, move, and reach for extended periods of time

Mental Efforts
  • Accuracy while taking orders and processing transactions at the POS
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring their satisfaction
