Intermediate to Senior Visual Effects Compositors (Long and Short Term)

TRYPTYC is currently looking for experienced and talented Visual Effects Compositors of an intermediate to senior level to join our Toronto studio.
Our compositors are responsible for creating high-end, photo-realistic, 2D visual effects shots by seamlessly integrating supplied 2D & 3D elements, as well as incorporating their own blend of creative talent.

We are hiring for remote work but applicants must be legally able to work in Canada and have an Ontario residential address.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years live-action VFX Compositing production experience on feature films and/or episodic television.
• Demonstrated experience compositing CG assets and environments.
• Great artistic sense and aesthetic a must.
• Strong Nuke proficiency, including good organization of scripts and workflow.
• Excellent command of compositing techniques, with a high competency working w/CG renders.
• Familiarity with Shotgrid.
• Solid understanding of color space, .luts, .cdls, etc.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

RESPONSIBLIES INCLUDE:

• Creating high level, quality, live-action, photo-realistic visual effects shots.
• Working within the TRYPTYC compositing pipeline and ensuring that pipeline needs are considered and optimized for rendering.
• Closely following all notes and direction, both verbal and written.
• Producing comps in a timely manner, including daily publishes for dailies review.
• Adhering to all schedules, assigned hours, and deadlines.
• Collaborating with the VFX Supervisor, Compositing Supervisor, 3D, and DMP departments.
• Working with the 3D artists to ensure that all required renders passes are working and received.
• Sharing knowledge and techniques with other TRYPTYC team members.
