Algorithmics is an EdTech start-up focused on teaching computer programming for children 7 to 17 years old. We integrate information technologies into our students’ education and help children take their first steps into their future professions. Algorithmics School of Programming is opening its doors in Northern Manitoba. We are excited and looking for the most qualified teacher for our youngest programmers who are just getting to know the IT world: a Sensei, a mentor, someone who wants to do the things inviting good karma — to teach children! Helping them to develop, find growth points, overcome difficulties, and prove that they can do more! Today Algorithmics already has:

Job Summary:

• Teaching one or several courses: Python, Scratch, Visual Programming, Game Design, Digital Literacy, etc.
• Salary: fixed per lesson
• Duration of one lesson – 1.5 hour
• The groups are small, with up to 10 students for online classes
• Teach and inspire using methodological material and algorithmics techniques
• Support children and their parents, provide educational feedback

Requirements based on each Course:

• Digital Literacy Course - Basic experience in Teaching (especially kids of 7-9 years)/Psychology Education
• Visual Programming Course - Basic experience in Teaching / IT (especially kids of 7-10 years)/ Psychology Education
• Python Courses - Coding experience in Python, Java, or C++/C#
• Game Design Course - Experience in Roblox Studio/Lua Language
• Website Creation Course - Experience in HTML, and CSS, ability to work with Tilda online constructor, Figma graphic editor, and GitHub web service.
• Degree in Education, Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related fields. University Students are also welcome! (Year 2+)
• Languages – Fluency in English is a must.

You are best for this role if you:

• Know and understand how to work in Google Suite services (documents, tables, presentations, calendar, disk, mail). Be able to work with MS Office programs. If you are great with something else in addition to these, it's marvelous! We have a wide range of courses and can connect you to several of them.
• Love teaching. This may not be a skill, but it is a super important condition.
• Be able to explain complicated things in simple words and provide clear examples.
• Experience working with children ages 7 and up — no way without it.
