What You’ll DoAs an Intermediate DevOps Engineer at Devopie Inc., you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high availability. Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:
- Design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Develop, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and utilize Istio for service mesh management to improve microservices communication.
- Containerize applications with Docker and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
- Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate infrastructure tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and quick response times.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues on Linux systems, performing root-cause analysis and optimizations.
- Document infrastructure processes for improved team alignment and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in a DevOps or similar engineering role, with a strong focus on Linux system administration.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.) and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including container orchestration and management.
- Familiarity with Istio or similar service mesh tools for microservices.
- Experience with both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for Linux-based automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices within Linux environments.
