The Role:
We're seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and lead the design and implementation of robust, repeatable QA frameworks for our web and mobile software projects. You'll develop comprehensive manual testing processes, documentation, and best practices that ensure quality and reliability across multiple industries and project types. In addition to framework design, you'll conduct thorough manual testing to identify and document defects, collaborating with developers and project managers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks covering functional, regression, and exploratory testing for diverse projects.
- Create repeatable manual testing processes and documentation (e.g., test plans, test cases, checklists) that can be applied across industries.
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools and platforms to support efficient and reliable testing processes.
- Conduct thorough manual testing of new features, enhancements, and fixes, identifying and documenting defects in GitHub.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and project managers to integrate QA into the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously refine and improve QA processes based on project outcomes and evolving industry best practices.
- Adapt quickly to learn about and test projects in a variety of industries.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in QA/QC roles, ideally within web and/or mobile application development.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design and document testing frameworks and processes from scratch.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, cases, and documentation using spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) or specialized platforms.
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) – hands-on coding not required, but knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent defect reporting skills using GitHub for issue tracking.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage testing across multiple projects and industries.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills – able to advocate for quality in every project.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) or backend systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating QA processes into deployment workflows.
