Focused on asphalt paving, concrete, landscape construction and other exterior construction, Forest has provided quality solutions for over 30 years. We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support the sales and operations teams across our Ready Mix, Asphalt, and Aggregates divisions. This position plays a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service by promptly responding to customer requests, managing order logistics, and streamlining internal communications. This is not a cold-calling or outbound sales role—it’s a critical support position that enables our outside sales team to focus on business development.

- Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and distribute pricing for asphalt as requested.
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure delivery schedules for Ready Mix and Aggregates align with customer needs.
- Accurately process and confirm customer orders, including verifying materials, quantities, and delivery dates.
- Coordinate with accounting to resolve invoicing/credit note issues for customers.
- Maintain and update customer records and job files in the KeyStone and Apex system.
- Serve as a point of contact for existing customers to assist with questions, changes, and reorders.
- Work closely with the outside sales team to manage customer follow-ups, pricing requests, and project tracking.
- Calling warm leads for follow up from outside sales reps.
- There's a large group of customers in our database that could bring some potential business but we need to filter through them.
- Generate and send quotes, order confirmations, and invoices as needed.
- Assist with tracking customer activity and generating sales reports.
- Support the coordination of truck schedules and material availability for customers.
- Communicate with plant operators and dispatch to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Help resolve issues related to delivery timing, access, or material quality by acting as a liaison between customers and field staff.
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in communication or process inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Help standardize customer onboarding and quote request processes.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and flag any recurring concerns to the sales or operations teams.
- 1+ year experience in a sales support, dispatch, or customer service role (construction or materials industry preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with CRM or ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with logistics, scheduling, and construction terminology is a strong asset.
