You as a Network Engineer will:

• Provide cross-functional role providing consultation, design, procurement, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and management of IT systems and solutions.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for EllisDon internal and external clients’ network hardware, software, and solutions as required. Assist in 1st level support when required
• Manages, supports, and ensures operating viability of LAN and WAN both wired and wireless for all hours of operation, and reports any abnormalities. Ensure the 24/7 availability and performance of the servers and network that support our systems, including some “on-call” responsibilities
• Work with an understanding of a network design framework to design, plan, test, implement and integrate various LAN/WAN systems, including: Data Center, Core network firewalls and switches, Wireless, MPLS traffic management and Internet routing services, as well as load balancing platforms
• Contributes to the design, configuration and maintenance of VOIP networks, network security, and the applications running on these platforms
• Contributes to the daily operations of infrastructure, local and wide area networks, Internet services, and other network-related services
• Coordinate resources and provide hands on technical expertise as a point of escalation to other operational teams as needed

Is this the right role for you?

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in IT (such as Computer Systems Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security)
• Current CCNA required (VOIP, or Security preferred)
• Nice to have CCNP, MCSE or VMware certification and related experience
• 5+ years’ experience working with Cisco products in a large enterprise in a multi-site environment leveraging equipment including: Switches, Router, ASA Firewall, IPS, CUCM (VOIP), Wireless Controller, etc.
• Expert knowledge in diagnosing complex network performance issues and working with Network Monitoring systems, Wireshark, Splunk, NETFLOW etc. tools
• The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000
