Job Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Co-op Student is primarily responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Finance Department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 Education or GED
• Community College Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting

COMPENSATION:

• $23.27 per hour

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and organizational skills
• Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Office--Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies and the O.H.S.A.
• Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies. Assists Accounts Receivable Accountant to prepare manual invoices, applying cash and lockbox payments received, preparation of cash deposits and filing where required.
• Assists Accounts Payable Accountants in coding and entering of supplier invoices received, matching of supporting documents to various forms of customer payments and filing where required.
• Maintain confidentiality of appropriate information.
• Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner
• Perform other duties as required.
