  • The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for ensuring all exchange transactions are balanced and reconciled prior to market open. The position manages cancel and amend requests, uploads U.S. options trade files from the Introducing Broker (IB) into Dataphile and resolves trade rejects identified during overnight trade file processing on T+1.

The role has significant responsibility for options operations, including processing corporate actions and reorganizations, communicating account adjustments to the Introducing Broker, managing exercise and contrary exercise instructions, and monitoring collateral held at the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC). Responsibilities also include pledging and releasing collateral as required, notifying clients of option assignments prior to market open, and ensuring all accounts and positions are balanced before CDCC deadlines.

Additionally, the position oversees the accurate processing of option exercises, assignments, expiries, and related journal entries, processes the underlying securities transactions, and issues client notifications. Daily processing activities also include monitoring and matching Dataphile (DP) trades through ARROW to ensure timely and accurate settlement and recordkeeping.

What You Will Do:

  • Reconcile exchange activity daily to ensure all exchange trade breaks are sent to our clients.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies, escalating issues and notifying Introducing Brokers (IBs) as required.
  • Process trade cancellations, corrections, adjustments, and amendments based on instructions received from IBs via email or uDirect.
  • Process option assignments, exercises, contrary exercise instructions, and related entries within required deadlines.
  • Ensure all options transactions are accurately recorded in Dataphile and SOLA.
  • Notify IBs of assignments, account adjustments, and corporate action-related changes in a timely manner.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations within the financial services industry.
  • Two-year post-secondary program or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in brokerage and/or correspondent clearing and custody business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trade reconciliation and Broadridge Dataphile knowledge is an asset.
  • Canadian Securities Course or IFIC certificate is an asset.

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: Total annual cash compensation (base salary plus target bonus) ranges from $65,000 to $80,000, based on experience and qualifications.
