You as an M&E Coordinator will:

  • Review and coordinate shop drawing submittals and fabrication drawings, and ensure Owner/Consultant comments are addressed to support effective project closeout.

  • Monitor and track construction progress, identify execution constraints, and escalate items requiring Project Manager direction for resolution.

  • Verify field conditions and confirm consistency between approved drawings, BIM models, site installation, and project requirements.

  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning, system turnover, and Mechanical Completion requirements.

  • Identify deficiencies, incomplete work, coordination issues, and punch-list items, and track them through closure.

  • Maintain deficiency logs, progress records, turnover records, and closeout documentation to support effective project handover.

Is this the right role for you?

  • 3+ years of experience in MEP coordination, commissioning support, closeout coordination, or related construction roles.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting technical shop drawings, construction documents, equipment submittals, and BIM/coordination models.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, process, and utility systems.

  • Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, specifications, and construction practices for industrial or commercial projects.

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills, with the ability to track progress and closeout items effectively.

  • Proficiency with Navisworks, Microsoft Office, PDF and Bluebeam review tools, and common construction management or document control platforms.

  • Experience supporting commissioning, turnover, Mechanical Completion, and project closeout activities.

  • Industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, mission-critical, or complex building project experience considered an asset.

  • Familiarity with field inspections, punch-list management, and subcontractor closeout requirements.

  • Must be able to work on site in Port Colborne, Ontario

  • The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 CAD
