Finning is looking for a Mining Technology Implementation Specialist to support the installation, implementation, and ongoing support of advanced mining and construction technology solutions at customer sites across Western Canada.
In this role, you'll work directly with customers, project teams, and field technicians to deploy and support technologies that improve safety, productivity, and equipment performance.Job Description:What You'll Do
- Lead and support mining technology implementation projects.
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical support both remotely and on-site.
- Work closely with customers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Support fleet management, equipment health, GPS, automation, and connected equipment technologies.
- Monitor system performance and ensure data accuracy.
- Develop documentation, procedures, and best practices.
- Track project progress and support project reporting and customer billing.
- Mentor team members and share technical expertise.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Technology, Project Management, Trades, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in mining, construction, heavy equipment, automation, or technology environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
- Experience working with GPS/GNSS, networking, or equipment technology systems is considered an asset.
- Experience with MineStar®, Wenco, Modular, Trimble, or similar fleet management technologies is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
