Hiring Unit:
Computational and Data Systems Institute
Position Summary:
Collect, enter and validate data into CDSI’s shared databases to facilitate activities and reports, with emphasis on McCAIS and CDSI workshops.
Support the creation of reports for programming, McCAIS and CDSI activities.
Collaboratively monitor and manage the McCAIS and CDSI shared inboxes and other shared systems, including e-mails, online forms and responses.
Assist in low-level guidance for statistical or computing related questions.
Prepare documents including forms, workshop materials, marketing and promotional materials, and emails.
Support new communications activities, such as podcasts or expanded social media (reels, etc.), including recruiting, scheduling, and other logistical support
Support CDSI Sharepoint file systems, Teams groups, and related platforms (i.e., Zoom) for CDSI workshops and events.
Answer general inquiries and facilitate clarification regarding programs and services offered by CDSI and its entities.
Assist with planning and setting up events, meetings, sessions, and workshops.
Distribute and track documents, equipment, and Online permissions.
Support internal and external relationships held by CDSI and its entities.
Performing other related duties.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
French fluency is an asset
Knowledge of more than one computer operating system (Linux, Mac, Windows) is an asset.
Knowledge of statistical software package(s) (e.g., R, Stata, SAS) is an asset.
Knowledge of programming language(s) (e.g., Python) is an asset.
Incumbent must be located in Montreal, as this is a hybrid position.

McGill downtown campus – Burnside Hall
This position is in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is to be performed in Quebec.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience
High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work.
Preference will be given to McGill registered students
