The School of Religious Studies is looking to hire a Course Lecturer to teach CATH 200: Introduction to Catholicism for Fall 2026 term.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education

Minimum of a Ph.D. in religious studies, or PhD advanced candidacy in Catholic Studies.

Experience

Evidence of superior teaching ability, in the form of prior teaching.

Other

Proposed course outline/syllabus to indicate how the applicant would present the course which is an exploration of the Roman Catholic tradition in its intellectual, religious, moral, and cultural dimensions. The focus of the course is to provide an interdisciplinary study of the ways in which Catholicism has shaped Western civilization.
