BASIC FUNCTION

This position is responsible for:

· Maintaining accounts within an assigned portfolio.

· Meeting the specific objectives set for the team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounts Payable

  • Review, validate, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure invoices are appropriately coded, approved, and supported by required documentation.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation, where applicable.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
  • Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with established payment schedules and internal controls.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding or disputed items.
  • Maintain accurate vendor account information and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely resolution of outstanding payables.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform other Finance-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Accounts Receivable

  • Maintain assigned customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely issuance of billings.
  • Process approved customer credit and adjustments.
  • Apply customer payments accurately and promptly.
  • Fully reconcile customer accounts on a timely basis.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on disputed and short paid invoices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work under tight deadlines.
