We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. HR Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to our Super Market Merchandising client group. This role calls for a customer-focused team player who can provide timely HR advice, resolve colleague issues and ensure the smooth execution of HR processes and programs. The successful candidate will bring a digital and continuous improvement mindset, using data, technology, and AI-enabled tools to simplify processes and enhance the colleague and manager experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as a front-line HR contact for colleague and leader questions and concerns within the assigned client group.
  • Provide advice and support on HR policies and programs, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits.
  • Support sensitive colleague and employee relations matters, conducting research and escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and support key annual HR processes including Performance and Compensation, Engagement Survey, Headcount Validation and Succession Planning.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support a smooth end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of HR programs, initiatives, and HR technology.
  • Maintain HR data integrity and use HR systems, data and reporting to identify trends, provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve HR processes using approved AI, digital tools and technology.
  • Responsibly use AI-enabled tools responsibly to support research, analysis, communications, documentation, and other HR activities while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and human oversight.
  • Develop and improve templates, workflows and repeatable processes that reduce manual work and improve HR service delivery.
  • Support compensation recommendations and administration of annual merit and incentive processes.
  • Coordinate leave of absence and accommodation requests in partnership with appropriate internal teams.
  • Research and resolve payroll, benefits and other HR inquiries as required.
  • Support compliance with applicable employment legislation, company policies and HR practices.
  • Assist the HR team with research, analysis, reporting and implementation of HR programs and projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and identifying simpler, more effective ways of working.

What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources, with an HR professional designation completed or in progress considered an asset.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a large, complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and the employee lifecycle, with experience supporting HR programs and employee relations.
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office, HR information systems (Workday preferred) and AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, automation and emerging technologies, with a desire to use them to improve how HR work gets done.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data and information into practical insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong judgment and integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive self-starter who looks for opportunities to simplify processes and improve the colleague experience.
  • Ability to travel to other office locations as required.
