Co-op Student, Learning Operations

About the Role

As a Co-op Student, Learning Operations, you will support the coordination and delivery of learning experiences across the organization. Working closely with the Learning team, you will help maintain learning content and records in the Learning Management System (LMS), assist with program logistics, respond to routine learner questions, and prepare reports and materials.

This is a hands-on development opportunity for a student who is organized, curious, comfortable working with technology and data, and eager to learn how Learning & Development operates in a large, fast-paced organization. You will receive guidance and coaching as you build practical experience in learning operations, stakeholder support, and continuous improvement.

What You Can Expect

You will join a collaborative team focused on creating a positive learner experience and helping colleagues grow. You will contribute to meaningful work, learn from experienced team members, and have opportunities to develop practical skills in learning systems, program coordination, reporting, and professional communication. You will be working from our Brampton Head Office at 1 President’s Choice Circle 4 days a week.

What You'll Do

Learning Management System (LMS) Support

  • Support routine LMS administration and maintenance activities under the guidance of team members.

  • Upload and organize learning content, including courses, curricula, certifications, classes, and virtual sessions.

  • Assist with learner enrolments, learning assignments, completion updates, and record maintenance.

  • Test digital learning content, including SCORM packages, and document any issues for follow-up.

  • Respond to routine learner access questions and escalate more complex technical issues as needed.

  • Help maintain accurate course information and contribute to system clean-up and improvement activities.

Reporting, Data and Documentation

  • Prepare recurring reports on learning participation, enrolment, and completion using established templates.

  • Support ad hoc data requests by gathering, organizing, and validating information.

  • Review learning records for completeness and accuracy and flag discrepancies for correction.

  • Maintain trackers, process documents, job aids, and other team resources.

  • Assist with simple data analysis and summarize observations for the team.

Learning Program and Event Coordination

  • Support the coordination of virtual and in-person learning sessions, including scheduling, invitations, participant lists, materials, room setup, and catering where applicable.

  • Provide logistical and technical support during live virtual sessions.

  • Prepare facilitator and participant materials and confirm that session details are accurate and complete.

  • Track follow-up actions, attendance, and learner feedback.

  • Identify potential scheduling or logistics issues and escalate them to the appropriate team member.

Vendor and Financial Administration

  • Assist with vendor setup documentation, invoice tracking, and statement of work administration.

  • Support the collection and organization of information required for accruals, chargebacks, and invoice processing.

  • Maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding items with guidance from the team.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work with Learning, HR, Finance, facilitators, and other partners to support learning initiatives.

  • Provide timely, professional, and learner-focused service to internal stakeholders.

  • Ask questions, seek feedback, and apply learning to improve the quality and efficiency of your work.

  • Contribute ideas that could simplify processes, improve documentation, or enhance the learner experience.

  • Support other learning operations activities and team projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in Human Resources, Business, Education, Learning & Development, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Interest in Learning & Development, employee experience, HR operations, or learning technology.

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

  • Experience with an LMS is an asset, not a requirement.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to organize tasks, manage deadlines, and ask for support when priorities are unclear or competing.

  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset and willingness to learn from feedback.

  • Professionalism and discretion when working with colleagues and learning information.

  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.

What Success Looks Like

  • Learning records, reports, and materials are accurate, organized, and completed on time.

  • Learners and facilitators receive responsive, professional support.

  • Issues are identified early and escalated with clear information.

  • You demonstrate curiosity, reliability, and steady growth throughout the work term.

  • You leave processes, trackers, and documentation a little better than you found them.
