Role Mandate
The Manager, Marketing – Strategic Operations & Delivery plays an important role in helping the Super Market Brand Marketing team plan, organize, deliver, and communicate its key priorities across Loblaw’s conventional grocery business.
This role supports the team’s top-of-house deliverables, including annual planning, campaign governance, weekly performance reporting, executive updates, and cross-functional project delivery. This role helps ensure the right plans, timelines, stakeholders, and reporting are in place to support strong delivery and decision-making of marketing initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a highly organized, thoughtful, and collaborative marketing professional who can bring structure to fast-moving work, build strong relationships across teams, and help translate marketing activity into clear business narratives. They will work closely with Brand Marketing leadership and cross-functional partners across merchandising, operations, divisional strategy, media, agency, analytics, and marketing enablement.

The Manager, Marketing – Strategic Operations & Delivery will support the Super Market portfolio of brands, including Real Canadian Superstore, Real Atlantic Superstore, Dominion, Loblaws, Zehrs, Your Independent Grocer, and Provigo.
Core Responsibilities
Support strategic planning and team priorities
Support the annual planning process and other key planning moments by coordinating timelines, inputs, stakeholder alignment, and leadership materials. Help translate business and marketing priorities into clear plans, deliverables, and next steps.
Drive marketing operations and delivery
Create and manage project plans, timelines, meeting cadences, and key milestones for priority marketing initiatives. Help keep teams aligned, identify risks or gaps early, and ensure work continues to move forward with clarity and accountability.
Enable campaign and initiative governance
Partner with campaign, media, agency, merchandising, operations, and enablement teams to support the delivery of major Super Market campaigns and strategic initiatives. Ensure key stakeholders are informed, milestones are tracked, and updates are clearly communicated.
Lead reporting and performance storytelling
Coordinate weekly and campaign performance reporting, bringing together inputs from marketing, media, analytics, merchandising, and business teams. Synthesize results into concise narratives that highlight marketing effectiveness, business impact, key learnings, and opportunities.
Prepare executive-ready updates
Develop clear, polished presentations, recaps, and briefing materials for senior leadership. Help simplify complex information into strong business stories, clear implications, and recommended actions.
Improve ways of working
Identify opportunities to make planning, reporting, communication, and project delivery more consistent, efficient, and effective across the Super Market Brand Marketing team.
Key Skills & Capabilities
The successful candidate will bring a strong mix of marketing knowledge, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
They should have:
- Strong project management and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- A solid understanding of marketing strategy, campaign planning, and performance measurement.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to build clear PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data and insights into a concise performance narrative.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work well across cross-functional teams.
- The ability to influence and drive alignment in a matrixed environment.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership.
- Business acumen and a customer-focused mindset.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift.
- A proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented approach.
Experience
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand management, marketing operations, strategic planning, integrated campaign planning, or project delivery.
- Experience supporting marketing planning, campaign governance, reporting, or cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience developing leadership presentations, performance updates, or business review materials.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, operations, media, agency, analytics, or strategy.
- Retail, grocery, CPG, loyalty, or large matrixed organization experience is an asset.
