JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an entry level position into the Technical Line of progression.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow SOP's, equipment and technical procedures to perform lab and industrial testing
  • Performing several routine qualitative and quantitative analytical tests
  • Performing calculations and determinations on tests
  • Evaluating physical and chemical characteristics
  • Be familiar with standard and industry specific specialized laboratory equipment
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of analysis and tests
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with little supervision and be goal oriented
  • Demonstrate initiative and be willing to work in a team environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successfully completed an accredited N.B. S.C.E.T.T. Chemical Tech. Program or Environmental Technologist Program
  • Must be willing to work various schedules, including days and shift, to accommodate relief needs for the Treatment Plant operators
  • Preference to individuals with relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to think outside of the box and constantly look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Display initiative and work flexibility
  • Must be able to work well within a Team and with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a strong safety aptitude
  • Be capable and willing to move up the line of progression
