JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Estimator plays a pivotal role in our company's success, driving the estimation process for manufacturing, service, and installation projects. This role demands a deep understanding of industry standards and an ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. By providing detailed cost estimates, the Senior Estimator enables our company to deliver competitive bids and secure profitable projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare precise cost estimates for projects, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop comprehensive project proposals and bids, aligning with company goals.
  • Select cost-effective and reliable vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling, considering lead times and resource availability for efficient project execution.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address concerns related to estimates and proposals.
  • Maintain open communication with internal teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize advanced estimation software and data analytics to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimating processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimating, preferably within manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing accurate and competitive project estimates, ensuring profitability.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise cost analysis and estimation.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities to manage complex projects and estimates.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of estimates and proposals.
