JOB DESCRIPTION
Midland Transport is currently looking for a reliable and safety‑focused Class 1 P&D Tractor Driver to join our team in Moncton Refrigerated DC and support our local pick‑up and delivery operations. In this role, you will operate a tractor‑trailer to complete scheduled local routes, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service to our customers.
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 12-hour night shifts (2000 -0800)

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer safely to complete local pickups and deliveries.
• Perform daily route assignments, ensuring pickups and deliveries are completed on time.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with legal and company requirements.
• Move trailers safely and efficiently within and between the distribution center (DC) and yard.
• Conduct regular yard checks, including verifying all onsite equipment, fuel levels, reefer settings, and trailer box temperatures.
• Drive, operate equipment, and perform all duties in compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years of safe tractor-trailer driving experience
• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle freight as required
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing workloads
• Customer service-oriented mindset
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a commitment to providing superior quality service
• Safety-conscious, with a strong commitment to safe driving practices and regulatory compliance
