JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Yard Associate, you play a key role in delivering excellent service to our customers. This includes ensuring that product displays in the yard are safe, organized, and easy to shop. You will assist customers with picking and loading products, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Forklift experience is required, as you will also provide backup support to the receiving team for unloading deliveries and moving materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide superior customer service - this includes greeting customers, providing information, completing sales, and arranging deliveries
  • Maintain store standards - Inventory, Replenishment and Merchandising
  • Operate a forklift to move and organize materials as needed
  • Support the receiving team when required, including unloading deliveries
  • Learn about new products and attending department specific training when provided
  • Work safely by following all safety standards
  • Prepare invoices, quotes, credit invoices and delivery invoices.
  • Follow computerized operating system to keep inventory up to date in system if receiving new products or writing off the product through theft or damage

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication and team player
  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Ability to work days/evening/weekends (rotating shifts)
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D365) used to process orders
  • Ability to perform manual handling and physical work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.
  • Forklift experience required
