RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop deployment plans for site production:

  • Planning and coordinating the deployment of finished goods from production site to warehouses to meet customer demand.
  • Identifying and addressing any potential bottlenecks or disruptions in the supply chain deployment process.
  • Developing deployment strategies that adhere to site and warehouse capacity constraints for both storage and inbound/outbound capacity.
  • Collaborating with various teams, such as site logistics, transportation, carriers and production, to ensure seamless deployment of finished goods.

Rebalancing of inventory:

  • Monitoring inventory levels by warehouse and analyzing demand forecasts to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Moving inventory from warehouse to warehouse to cover customer orders and expected demand.
  • Working with Product Life Cycle to ensure seamless runouts of transitioning items.

Optimization:

  • Working with Distribution Planning to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Analyzing supply chain performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment strategies

QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Technical Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field. APICS designation would be an asset.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years in Supply Chain
  • Experience is Transportation/Distribution & Logistics

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Supply Chain Management: A strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory control, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Familiarity with transportation modes, routing, and logistics operations to ensure efficient deployment.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to interpret supply chain data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address supply chain deployment challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Skills in planning, organizing, and managing deployment projects and schedules.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Excel.
  • Risk Management: Understanding of supply chain risk factors and the ability to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement: A mindset for continuous improvement and the ability to implement process enhancements in the supply chain deployment process.
