JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a natural relationship builder with a passion for sales and the construction industry? Kent Building Supplies is looking for a Contractor Outside Sales Representative to drive business growth by developing and managing contractor accounts across the Bridgewater region. This is a field-based role focused on building strong partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that help contractors succeed.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively prospect and develop new contractor accounts within your assigned territory
  • Visit job sites and client offices to understand project needs and offer product recommendations
  • Build long-term relationships with contractors, builders, and construction professionals
  • Generate quotes, material take-offs, and product lists based on project specifications
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Track sales activity and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new products
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive territory management and customer engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven success in outside sales, preferably in construction, building materials, or a related industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a passion for growing business
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage your own schedule
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally
