Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sawmill Division is seeking to fill a part-time Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) position at the Veneer Sawmill in Saint-Léonard, NB.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery, and install industrial mechanical equipment in a production environment
• Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, and conduct preventive maintenance on machines
• Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture equipment and perform modifications as needed
• Monitor daily maintenance activities and respond to emergency situations promptly
• Repair or replace components such as chains, conveyor belts, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and perform welding and cutting tasks

QUALIFICATIONS
Your qualifications:

• Diploma in Industrial Mechanics (Block 3 or higher required)
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Welding certification is considered an asset
• Must meet J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) selection criteria
