Responsibilities
SFX Transport (Formerly Seafood Express) is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join our team! If you have 2-5 years' experience, we would love to hear from you!This is a full-time permanent position. Our technicians can expect to work 40hrs weekly with the occasional over time, work can be off-site and traveling to remote locations from time to time.

• Our technicians troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, perform inspections and routine maintenance, repair and adjust mechanical components as well as ensuring a clean and safe work environment.Work with late model power units (2017 and newer)
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Inspect motors in operation, perform road tests, or use computerized diagnostic devices to diagnose and isolate faults and determine whether to repair or replace components
• Performing such duties on equipment such as oil changes, alignments, tune up, tire changes, daily logs
• Performing incidental welding operations and body work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$37.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement: French not required

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate: Charlottetown, PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience: truck and trailer mechanic: 2 years (required)

Language: English (required)

Licence/Certification: Heavy Duty Red Seal (preferred)
