Lighthouse Museum Tour Guide

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Lighthouse Museum Tour Guide. This unique role offers the opportunity to lead engaging tours of the historic Seacow Head Lighthouse while also assisting with daily operations at the Artisan Café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors to the Seacow Head Lighthouse Museum.
• Provide informative and engaging guided tours, sharing historical facts, maritime stories, and local legends (to be provided).
• Ensure visitor safety while exploring the lighthouse grounds and interior.
• Answer questions and engage guests in an interactive experience.
• Assist with lighthouse upkeep, including daily cleaning and organizing informational materials as well as artisan products on display.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong public speaking and storytelling abilities.
• Customer service experience, preferably in tourism, hospitality, or retail.
• Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Social media, photography and storytelling experience an asset.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Basic cash-handling, point-of-sale (POS) system, and reconciliation experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Interest in local history and maritime heritage is a plus.
• Primary Language – English, bilingualism is an asset.
