Job Description:

Cavendish Farms Potato Storage in Pooles Corner, PE is looking for Laborers from June until mid-October. The exact start date and period of work will be dependent on weather and business needs.

Work location – Pooles Corner, PE

Wage – $20.26 per hour + OT after 48 hrs & Sundays

Work Schedule: Working for a farming operation, workers must be available to work up to 12 hours a day, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Loading out potatoes from storage for delivery to fry plant, includes operating equipment (forklift, potato scoop, pile)
• Prepping storage for upcoming storage season (cleaning and staging)
• Receiving potatoes during fall harvest (equipment operators, quality control, labourers)
• All other duties as assignedQualifications
• Safety and Quality focused
• Physically fit to stand for extended period of time
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work in close proximity to moving harvest equipment
• Farm experience is an asset
• Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is an asset
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
