Title: Aluminum Fabricator Reporting to: Shop Foreman Location: 68 Industrial Drive, Borden-Carleton, PE
Compensation package: $18/hr to $35/hr, Overtime starts at 44 hrs/week, 2 weeks/year vacation (4% accrual), Group Benefits ($25k Life, $25k AD&D, 80% Dental, 80% Health, Paramedical, vision, travel allowances), 2% DPSP plan
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate aluminum entrances, storefronts, curtainwall, and doors according to shop drawings provided by Lead Estimator.
- Help unload stock lengths of aluminum from vendor deliveries, sort, perform receiving quality inspection, and carefully put away in respective storage areas.
- Attention to detail and awareness of expensive, delicate materials.
- Pull stock lengths from storage racks and bring to cutting saw as instructed by Shop Foreman.
- Measure, cut, and shape aluminum materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Screw aluminum components together with occasional weld.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards and client expectations
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in finished carpentry, metal fabrication or cabinetry considered an asset.
- Know how to read a measuring tape.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, design drawings, and technical specifications considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of aluminum fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment considered an asset.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Positive attitude and energy to work collaboratively in a team environment.
