Production Line Worker

Job Description:

Roles and responsibilities:

• Gaining experience in all areas of production, rotating through the various phases of the production line to gain a breadth of knowledge on our operations
• Assist in setting up, operating and oversight of one of the following:
  • Glass cutting: Score glass to size ordered by customer
  • Break out table: Break the scored glass and dispose of waste
  • Seamer: Remove jagged pieces from glass after breakout table
  • Washer: Clean the glass
  • Tempering oven: Temper the glass in the tempering oven
  • CNC: Cut out pieces of the glass based on customer order
  • Polisher: Polish the sides of the glass for smooth finished look
  • Insulated Glass Equipment: work in the IG line (manual or automated) to create IG units for Customers.
• Loading finished products onto transport trucks for shipment
• Watch for quality control issues of products and machinery
• Visual Inspection of products produced and alert Supervisor or Manager if problems issues
• Assist in the unloading of raw materials
• Measure glass to match tags created for customers and match tags to glass at appropriate stage of production process
• Continuously follow and respect health and safety regulations, wearing PP&E at all times
• Perform other related duties and assisting other staff where required

Required qualifications, education and experience:

• English language proficiency
• Physically capable of perform job duties in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while remaining and safe and observant to details of the products and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle glass (50 LBS)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role preferred
