Under supervision of our project manager and field supervisor, perform electrofishing surveys to determine fish densities on the Nepisiguit river and its tributaries, along with other rivers in our region. Water quality measurements will include temperature, O2 levels, turbidity, flow rates, acidity, and other parameters on the Nepisiguit, Bass, Tetagouche, and Elmtree rivers to determine river health. The crew will also perform culvert and Beaver dam assessments, cleanups, and GIS mapping of possible obstructions to spawning fish passage. With help from Government and NGO agencies, CABIN and Benthic surveys will be performed on all rivers in the region to determine overall river health. We will start land usage maps inputted on a GIS system along all rivers in our area to determine whether industrial, agricultural, or municipal activities pose possible river hazards to be shared with other Government and NGO's to better understand overall river health.

• Be a high school student entering grade 10, 11, or 12 in September 2024; OR
