Responsibilities include:
Analyze revenue, expenses, cash flow, enrollment, staffing and other financial and
operational data to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and financial projections based on enrollment, tuition revenue, staffing and operating expenditures.
Compare actual financial results against budgets, forecasts and prior-year results and prepare variance analyses and explanations for management.
Prepare regular financial reports, management summaries, KPI reports and other financial information for senior leadership.
Develop and maintain financial models, spreadsheets and analytical tools to support budgeting, forecasting, enrollment analysis and operational planning.
Consolidate and analyze financial and operational information from departments and school locations to support organizational planning and performance evaluation.
Monitor revenue and expenditure trends, assess cost structures and identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and resource utilization.
Monitor student accounts receivable, including tuition balances, payments, credits and adjustments, and investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
Assist with payroll and employee-benefit financial administration, including reviewing payroll information, maintaining related records and responding to employee inquiries concerning compensation and deductions.
Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and prepare reports and presentations to support operational planning, strategic initiatives and management decision-making.
Maintain accurate and confidential financial records and ensure financial information is prepared in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Communicate professionally with employees, parents and other stakeholders regarding financial and administrative matters, including providing Mandarin-language assistance where required.
Perform other related financial analysis, reporting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline.
2 4 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting or financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial/accounting software or ERP systems.
Strong analytical, numerical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
French and Mandarin-language proficiency is considered an asset due to Rotherglen's Mandarin-speaking parent and stakeholder community.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary: $87,360.00
Hourly wage: $42/hr
Employer DPSP contribution: 6% annually
Health and dental benefits: approximately $2,600 annually
Paid vacation: 10 days annually
Paid sick leave: 5 days annually
