Millwright PERMANENT DAYS up to $45/hr to start

LOCATION: Concord, Ontario

Qualifications:

Red Seal / Inter Provincial Industrial Millwright (433A) certification
3 years+ experience working in mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting, preferably including automotive and stamping or metal forming
Experience maintaining medium to large tonnage stamping presses a strong asset
Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems, bearings, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, shafts, couplings, and lubrication systems
Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
Welding and fabrication skills an asset
Experience with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS an asset
Familiar with IATF 16949 standards an asset
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail
Able to prioritize breakdowns
Dependable, punctual, able to work safely
Willing and able to work assigned shift ; assist with off-shift coverage if needed

Duties:

Maintain stamping operations equipment, automated feed systems, hydraulics, pneumatics
PM of production equipment with a mindset towards equipment reliability and manufacturing process improvement
Responsible for install, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and continuous improvement of production machinery in a high volume automotive metal stamping plant stamping presses and ancillary equipment including coil handling systems, feeders, straighteners, conveyors, transfer systems, material handling equipment compressors, pumps, etc.
Assist with press and equipment alignments, leveling, installation, commissioning, and major repairs
Perform precision measurements and mechanical fitting as required
Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot to determine root causes, working with other personnel (Electricians, Tool & Die, Operators, etc.)
Recommend corrective actions and improvements to recurring equipment failures
Assist with emergency repairs while ensuring all work is performed safely and correctly
Inspect machinery for wear, damage, misalignment, vibration, lubrication issues, and other conditions that may lead to equipment failure
Maintain lubrication systems and ensure equipment is properly lubricated
Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections and parts used
