Wage: $39.00 per hour

Key duties and Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee daily front-of-house operations, including counter service, the espresso bar, pastry displays, opening and closing procedures, and guest flow to ensure efficient, consistent service
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff and provide ongoing coaching on service standards, product knowledge, and caf procedures
Lead the front-of-house team during service, assign daily duties and stations, and ensure smooth communication between front and back of house
Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized guest environment, including the caf seating area, service counter, condiment stations, displays, and other customer-facing areas
Work closely with the production team to coordinate daily bake quantities, product availability, rotation, and seasonal offerings based on forecasted demand while minimizing waste
Manage front-of-house inventory, including coffee, tea, dairy, packaging, retail items, and caf supplies; place orders and maintain supplier relationships while controlling costs
Oversee the freshness, quality, presentation, labelling, and replenishment of pastry cases and retail displays throughout the day
Support a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture while setting a strong example of Beaucoups standards for hospitality, teamwork, and attention to detail
Maintain beverage standards for espresso, coffee, and tea through recipe consistency, equipment upkeep, quality checks, and ongoing barista training
Monitor daily sales, labour costs, staffing levels, and service performance, adjusting schedules for seasonal, weekend, and tourist traffic and supporting budgeting and profitability objectives
Oversee POS procedures, cash handling, till reconciliation, refunds, discounts, and end-of-day reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability
Coordinate pre-orders, special orders, gift boxes, and corporate and catering orders with guests and the production team, ensuring accurate communication and timely pickup
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally, including questions regarding ingredients and allergens, and identify opportunities to improve the overall guest experience
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, allergen procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and applicable licensing requirements
Coordinate with marketing personnel on seasonal launches, promotions, social media initiatives, and local community partnerships as needed

Requirements/Education and other requirements
+3 years of experience in the food service industry, preferably in a caf/bakery setting, including supervisory experience is required
Completion of post-secondary program in hospitality, F&B management, business or related field is a strong asset
Knowledge of French pastrie and specialty coffee/espresso preparation, is a strong asset
Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent leadership and teamwork skills with a strong customer service focus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Sound knowledge of food safety, sanitation, allergen handling, and health regulations
