Korean Customer Service Rep (Localization Specialist) - Gaming Company

Location: Regional Office - Canada
Reports To: Manager of Live Operations
Salary: $18/hr-$20/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hybrid: 3 days in office 2 days remote

About the Role

As a Korean Localization Specialist, you will support the Live Operations team by coordinating projects, managing community platforms, and providing high-quality translation and localization across multiple initiatives. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact the player experience.

What You'll Do

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects across teams to ensure smooth execution.

  • Manage SNS channels and community platforms, including Discord.

  • Prepare and share weekly reports on project status, community trends, and key insights.

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment on deliverables.

  • Track progress, timelines, and deliverables for assigned projects.

Translation & Localization

  • Translate documents, emails, design materials, slide presentations, and other communications.

  • Support external communications while maintaining strong relationships with partners.

  • Ensure all content is culturally appropriate and aligned with our global audience.

  • Assist other teams with day-to-day tasks to keep projects on schedule.

  • Support management in report writing and related tasks.

Collaboration & Culture

  • Work closely with the Live Operations and Management teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be bilingual in Korean and English (written and verbal).

  • 1-2 years of localization experience (gaming industry experience is a plus).

  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Ability to empathize with stakeholder needs and respond quickly to issues.

  • Occasional evening work (1-2 times per week) due to collaboration with Korea headquarters.

  • Passion for online gaming is a strong asset; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Availability for overtime (paid) is an asset.
