Developer (Sr.)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for a developer motivated to deliver on mandates. The main assignments would be to design, develop and test software components according to business needs; take part in the technical design of solutions; fix defects and optimize code performance; and collaborate with analysis and quality assurance teams throughout the development cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and test software components according to specifications.
• Take part in the technical design of application solutions.
• Fix defects and perform corrective and evolutive maintenance.
• Optimize the performance and quality of the code produced.
• Document the code and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with analysts, quality assurance and other developers.
• Take part in code reviews and the team's Agile ceremonies

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• University or college degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in information technology.
• Eight (08) to fifteen (15) years of experience as a Developer.
• Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with one of the following frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, SAFe, Nexus.
• Hold one of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Oracle Certified Master: Java EE Enterprise Architect.
• Hold one of the following Agile certifications (an asset): A-CSM, PSM II, CSP-SM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (ASM) etc.
• Experience with one of the following tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.
• Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
• Language: French and English
