Job: Maintenance Technician
Location: Aurora, ON ( near Industrial pkwy S and Engelhard Dr)
Pay: $25.00 per hour to $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Rotational shifts (Day and Nights), 42 hours per week, Mon / Tue / Wed / Thu: 12 hours for 3 days and 6 hours for the 4th day
Job Type: High possibility of becoming permanent after 3 months ( based on performance review)

Job Overview:

We are currently hiring Maintenance Technicians for a manufacturing environment in Aurora, ON. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical or technical training who wants to build hands-on experience maintaining production equipment.

The successful candidates will support the maintenance team with equipment inspection, cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, repairs, and production line changeovers.

This position has high possibility of permanent employment based on performance and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Clean, inspect, lubricate, and service plant equipment as directed.
Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
Support equipment changeovers and production line setups.
Assist with maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing production downtime.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop.
Assist with inventory and storage of spare parts.
Complete maintenance documentation as required.
Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
Perform other maintenance-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering, Technical/Technology diploma, or related technical education.
Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Basic knowledge of utility systems such as boilers, compressed air, nitrogen, and city water.
Good knowledge of hand and power tools.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Tetra Pak experience is an asset but not required.
Millwright apprenticeship or technical training is an asset.
English language skills preferred.

Shift & Hours:

Rotational shifts are mandatory
42 hours per week.
Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts for 3 days and a 6-hour shift on the 4th day.
30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Candidates must be flexible and available to work rotating day and night shifts.
