Job Position: Diesel Mechanic
Number of Vacancies: 2
Location of Work: 12403 Old Yale, Surrey BC V3V 3X9
Term of employment: Full time, Permanent with 30-40 hours per week.
Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
Salary: $45 per hour, overtime after 40 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times.
Education: Completion of secondary school
Experience: 3-5 years of experience
Language: English

Duties:

. Determine truck condition by conducting inspections and diagnose tests to detect faults and malfunctioning.
. Keep truck available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating machinery, installing components and part upgrades.
. Diagnose faults by using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair
. Correct equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, subassemblies, component parts or system, such as power and drive train, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanism, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches and traction units.
. Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
